St Valentine’s Day has roots in many distinct legends which have found their way to us throughout the ages. There a Real Valentine

Approximately 300 years after the death of Jesus Christ, the Roman emperors nevertheless demanded that everybody believe in the Roman gods. Valentine, a Christian priest, was thrown in prison because of his teachings. On February 14, Valentine was beheaded, not just because he had been a Christian but because he had performed a miracle. He allegedly cured the jailer’s daughter of her own blindness. The evening before he was executed, he composed the jailer’s daughter a farewell letter, signing it”From Your Valentine.” Another legend tells us that this exact same Valentine, well-loved by all, obtained notes while at his prison cell out of kids and friends who missed him.
